We first moved to Woods Cove in May of 2008 with our two young sons. We began the 7 acre farm with two horses and then acquired commercial cattle and a few chickens. 

Fast forward to 2021… we were able to purchase the old Finney Farm which adjoined our property.  The farm had not been utilized in decades, but we saw the potential in it. We purchased the 110 acre farm, sold our home and set out working to recapture the original usage of the land. We chose to sell the commercial cattle and decided to focus on a high quality animal. Our mentality was “quality over quantity”. In November of 2023, we purchased our first highland cow. We immediately fell in love with the breed.  They are very docile and bring joy to all those who admire them.  Since getting the cows, we have been busy replacing old fencing, installing new fencing, creating paddocks, building barns and growing our herd. We are still working on the farm, but truthfully it will always be a work in progress.
